Announcing driver safety systems alignment for all makes/models

In order to better serve our customers, we are happy to announce that we have recently installed a state of the art ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) alignment system on premises. We are currently the only independent service center in the area trained to use one of these computerized alignment systems.

So do you need an ADAS alignment?

Here’s a few instances of when you might need our system to recalibrate your car’s safety system.

If you’re driving a car made after the year the early 2000s, then it’s likely to have some measure of Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) features. It could be a parking camera, rear cross-traffic sensor, proximity alert or something else. These features have become increasingly sophisticated over the years, but always they have relied on a single important idea – proper alignment.

Here at Beach House Imports, we now perform ADAS realignment for those vehicles who have undergone certain repairs or maintenance that push the cameras and sensors out of place, and for those whose vehicles have been in collisions with the same result. In today’s blog, we’ll be revealing some advice from our expert team about how to know when you need your ADAS realigning.

You had your bumper or windshield removed or replaced

If your car was in an accident that required a new windshield or bumper to be fitted, or if either were removed as part of any other repair or maintenance procedure, then your ADAS cameras and sensors may have been knocked out of alignment. Many of the sensors are placed in these locations, and thus are easily moved out of place when disturbed.

You’re getting a wheel alignment

The position of your wheels is critical to the proper function of your ADAS systems, so when you are getting your wheels aligned, you’ll also need to have your ADAS realigned as well to ensure that the two are perfectly synced.

Your suspension is being repaired or replaced

As with many components in your vehicle, the suspension is connected to many others. Typical procedure would dictate that a new or repaired suspension would be followed by a wheel alignment, which as we mentioned in the previous point.

You’ve been in a collision recently (even minor)

Accidents happen, and many times we may notice no major damage and think we can drive off. Any collision can have an impact on the precise alignment of your ADAS cameras and sensors, so realignment will be necessary.
